City Council members approved development milestones Tuesday, Dec. 3, in three major Downtown development projects.
The council approved transferring the site of the Loews Hotel on the Civic Center Plaza to the Center City Revenue Finance Corporation as part of tax incentives for the second convention center hotel.
The council also approved an amended tax increment financing -- or TIF -- district for the expanded Union Row development.
And the council approved a supplement to the application for the Tourism Development Zone to finance redevelopment of the Pinch.
The changes are to fit the specific plans of the developer, 18 Main LLC, which is drawing up plans for the nine-block area between the Pyramid and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
