Downtown developer sells Southeast Memphis apartment complex

Tom Intrator, a man who has made waves this year by buying more than $20 million worth of Downtown property, recently sold a 324-unit apartment complex.
The Autumnwood Apartments are located at 3119 Kirby Parkway, which borders Mt. Moriah Road. A firm Intrator is a partner in sold it for $14.6 million to DJ Acquisitions.
DJ Acquisitions owns and manages Class C apartment buildings, according to its website. Though based in Miami, each of its seven properties is located in Memphis — with six in southeast Memphis, including Autumnwood.
Intrator's firm had purchased Autumnwood in 2012 for for $13.5 million.
The sale comes just after another Intrator-affiliated firm sold the Lynnfield Place Apartments at 1400 Lynnfield Road for $35 million. Intrator's plans for his Downtown properties include a 178-room hotel on top of the Royal Furniture building.
