Pinch District, Memphis

The Pinch District is a historic neighborhood located in the northern part of Downtown Memphis. It is recognized as the City’s first commercial district as well as having housed a thriving immigrant community beginning in the 1800’s.

Along with the City of Memphis and LRK, 18 Main has reimagined the Pinch District to create for a mixed-use development comprising nearly 3,000,000 square feet of newly built urban space.

South Main, Memphis

The South Main Arts District is a paradigm of community reinvestment. The area was essentially abandoned in the late 1960s and eventually found a rebirth in the shared but heterogenous visions of artists and entrepreneurs who saw the neighborhood’s appeal and potential.

18 Main invested in South Main with the goal of expressing the culture of Memphis. We believe this historic area resonates nationally and globally through its tremendous charm and remarkable architecture.

18 Main is currently in the process of developing seven properties within South Main comprising multifamily, hospitality, experiential retail, and office space.

operating businesses

Community development is about more than state-of-the-art housing. It’s about creating an environment and ecosystem that promotes health, well-being, and memorable experiences. As such we have taken an active role curating and investing in hospitality and experiential retail businesses which complement our communities. When we invest in a community, we want residents to enjoy what the neighborhood has to offer, and visitors to have an experience and be embraced within our communities.
